A pleasant boat ride through the islands surrounding Holbox with bird watching: white and gray pelicans, frigate birds and seagulls. According to the season, one can also see the famous pink flamingos. During the ride it is likely to observe dolphins and stingrays.

In “Passion Island” one can also enjoy the incredible view of the sand banks and likewise the darker color of the stream where the sea meets the lagoon. Iguanas are numerous and are normally found running on the shore.

At Isla Pajaros, a protected nature reserve, one can enjoy the great variety of native birds that live there, many of which are endemic and can be observed from the lookout tower built especially to see this natural display of biodiversity.

Yalahau is the next in line visit: a spring of fresh water where one can swim and enjoy the benefits of this healthy and healing water located in a mangrove area. The “Cenote” is located on the mainland.

This marvelous excursion starts early in the morning. The tour is by speed boat to Cabo Catoche, an area where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean Sea.

Here you can swim with what is considered the world's largest fish, also known as domino fish because of its contrasting colors. Enjoy watching it from a minimum distance and appreciate their size and structure. As this takes place in open seas, it  is almost certain to find dolphins, turtles and stingrays on the way.

You can also enjoy a special snorkeling tour off the coast of Cabo Catoche and a walk to Punta mosquito, where you can watch the pink flamingos and explore one of the rivers that cross the island in a vast area of ​​mangroves.

Fishing in the island is available at all levels and categories: from mini-fishing to deep sea fishing. In the area there are abundant species such as grouper, red snapper, and large snappers too. In specific seasons it is possible to find particular species such as tarpon and snook fish.

The guides are experienced local fishermen for generations and have both fishing rod, rope and harpoon in the area. The fishing boats are well equipped, comfortable, safe and come with different capacities according to the type of fishing you want to choose.

Fishing sites are found 20 minutes to an hour away from the dock and have a depth ranging between 2 and 4 meters. The duration varies from 3 to 6 hours depending on the type of fishing you want to experiment.

Cabo Catoche is an area preferred by the local fishermen for their fishing and it is an ideal place for snorkeling as it has diverse flora and fauna. At just 2 meters in depth, there are special sites called Cuevones (caves), where one can see the nurse sharks, turtles, octopuses and lobsters. As the ride is in open sea, sightings of dolphins, manta rays and dolphins are possible.

As part of the tour, our guide will take you to fish on this site and then prepare a delicious marinated ceviche that can be tasted right on the edge of an unspoiled beach. If the tide is high enough, you can take a ride on one of the rivers that cross the island and visit the mangrove area of ​​Holbox island.

In this guided tour that takes you through the winding mangroves, one can observe many birds and spectacular scenery. Being a tour made without motors, one can clearly hear the birds and is more likely to approach them. The mangroves are home to different species of birds that are on the coast. Sometimes you can see crocodiles basking on the banks of the channels and depending on the migratory season you can also see flamingos. A boat takes you to the beginning of the river and from here the guide will escort you with kayaks (max 2 people) and make a journey of about 45 minutes with a short break in between to do bird watching and then finish the tour in  the Yalahau lagoon, located opposite “Isla Pajaros”, where the boat will wait to bring you back.

Ek Balam is a Mayan archaeological site recently discovered and still under excavation and research. Its total size has not yet been fully explored because it is nestled deep in a forest area. The tour will take you, on a special all terrain vehicle called “the ant”, to the Corchales Park, nestled in the jungle. Here is where the adventure begins with a beautiful walk where you can watch birds and various types of flora such as orchids. The ride ends in a lagoon where you board the kayaks and discover the trails of water between the cork trees, with crooked branches entangled in various shapes that make the imagination run wild.
